An Awakened Heart Births Expansive Love
A love letter and prayer for all of humanity.
May our hearts awaken. May an embodied divine love be a flowing river.

✨Divine Love is the root of the awakened heart that blossoms into expansive love. It billows up and arises out of the union of spirit and matter as one. The union of shiva and shakti.
This love can fuel, feed, nourish our hearts and change the world.
✨An awakened heart loves for the sake of love. It doesn’t need anything in return. It gives of itself freely and fully to all, whether they know it, feel it or reject it. It lives in an embodied state of adoration and worship for all of life and nature.
✨Expansive love is the fabric of the Universe, the pulse that created Creation.
It is the vibrating field of consciousness that lives within everything and everyone. It is the rain pouring down from the heavens, saturating and soaking all beings. It’s the rising sun that vanishes the darkness, the moon waxing to full bright light and waning to the illusion of disappearance.
✨The awakened heart breathes; expanding and condensing in spiralic pulsations. It is alive and always evolving.
It is the blood of birth, the first cry of a newborn baby and the last breath we breathe when it is time to leave these bodies behind.
It is the soothing balm in the face of loss, pain and grief.
✨This heart seeks not to control or possess. It knows how to let go, and how to forgive. It releases all greed, attachment and sets humanity free.
✨Expansive love lives in our cells, swimming in the cytoplasm and in the sea of interstitial fluids. It moves within our lungs as air, cradling and massaging our heart. It is the fire burning in our bellies, digesting life and lighting up the pathway of spiritual aspiration.
It says “I’ll take less so that you can have more”.
And, “Let’s take down the walls and fences because this land is our land”.
It knows that the Earth’s body and my body are ONE body - and that we must respect and care for her deeply. That we MUST exist in harmony.
✨Expansive love isn’t impulsive. It is deep, pure, unconditional and ever-lasting. It guides us to discern truth from untruth, love from fear, and removes egoic judgments of self and others.
This love gives of itself fully without engaging in Self-betrayal. The Self is upheld, honored and seated on the center of the altar. Yet until your heart includes loving yourself, this love can’t be given to others.
Because you and I are one.
✨Expansive love isn’t personal or small. It is vast and universal. Yet it fills the personal and penetrates all layers of existence.
Because it IS what all the layers of our humanity are made up of.
✨The awakened heart is always honest. It has no reason to lie. It has clear boundaries but is never harsh, angry or attacking. This heart doesn’t blame or project onto others. It moves beyond the swinging from shame to guilt to resentment. It dismantles the walls we build around our hearts and teaches us that we actually have nothing to defend and nothing to protect.
✨Expansive love shows us how to take responsibility for ourselves and our actions, leading us to an embodied sincerity and humility. Responding to what is, rather than reacting.
It is Responsive Love. It shows us how we could all be vessels of love meeting other vessels of love.
Love yielding to Love.
Simple. Profound. Witnessing.
✨The awakened heart says “I surrender to and serve Truth and Self”.
It knows itself as peace.
It knows itself as the ocean of pure loving consciousness.
It exclaims from the mountaintop, “I am a willing servitor of divine love. Show me the way in every moment and every breath that breathes me into being.”
May all beings everywhere receive the grace of an awakened heart.
May all beings everywhere live within the ocean of expansive love no matter how difficult life gets.
May it be so.
