      <image:caption>Since we met in 2000, the honoring and pursuit of yoga in its many forms has been central to our lives. To us, yoga is the progressive flow toward unity with the Divine Beloved. We aspire to join with that flow, which we feel moving through all creation, drawing all toward wholeness and Truth. We love India, and bow to the land and the people, and to the wisdom and spirit that have been cultivated there for millennia. We receive this wisdom with humility and gratitude and offer what we can of it through our teaching and our lives. It is a profound gift to travel there regularly, and we were even able to bring our children Arin and Irina along with us for 3 years in a row! After graduating from UMASS Amherst in 2001, we traveled west and studied Classical Ashtanga Yoga, Sankhya, Vedanta, and mantra with Baba Hari Das  at the Mount Madonna Center. Soon after, we met Guruji-Ma, whose embodiment of the deepest yogic principles has been our lodestar through the adventures of life. She has lovingly held us and guided us toward an ever-deeper knowing of who we are. We have also trained extensively in Embodyoga® with Patty Townsend, whose celebration of the body's innate wisdom has transformed our lives. We are very inspired by the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, whose radical call to collective awakening stirs our deepest hearts, and whose inner guidance has helped to shape our lives. The call to divinize all of life, live a life Divine and be a willing servitor of the sat-chit-ananda that permeates all of life speaks deeply to our souls. Whether you feel called to join us in weekly classes, private sessions, teacher trainings or journeys in India, we very much look forward to connecting with all seekers and sharing the pilgrimage of yoga. From the gratitude we and Shraddhā Yoga have for all we have been given, we give back and support various aspects of Indian culture and society. She is deeply nourished by her decades long relationship with her spiritual teacher GurujiMa, and by every moment she is blessed to spend out in nature and in traveling to India each year. Matthew (he/him), has studied yoga and meditation since 1999. He teaches yoga philosophy, basic Sanskrit and mantra, and embodied devotional spirituality. His teachings emerge from years sitting at the feet of his teacher GurujiMa, from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, whose inner guidance and writings have shaped his life, and from extensive study of yogic texts and teachings. Matthew completed 500 hours of training in Embodyoga, with which he has a deep and constantly evolving relationship, and he organizes and leads yoga retreats in North and South India.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sangeetha Sriram Sangeetha has spent over two decades engaging in many social experiments exploring what it means to be an effective change agent in a world of converging crises. Her personal search led her to Integral Yoga and Indic Wisdom, both of which she is a keen student of. Though Sangeetha grew up in a context of which chanting was an important part, she formally started learning and teaching Vedic chanting in Sri Krishnamacharya – Sri Desikachar tradition about eight years ago, integrating it into her sadhana. She is a steward of Vikalp Sangam, a community that aspires to weave together different systemic change initiatives across India. She is a steward of pūrṇam, an emerging community that endeavours to create spaces of inquiry into the nature of the Self and of the human condition, inspired by the praxis of pūrṇa yoga. She is also a writer and a classical musician, and currently lives with her family in Auroville.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Rajeev Natarajan Rajeev is an engineer by training with over 20 years of entrepreneurial and leadership experience in various organizations. He is now an organization development consultant, facilitator and a certified coach trained with Ritambhara and TAO Leadership Academy - both renowned for their work in the leadership space anchored in Indic wisdom blending worldwide best practices. Born in a family that deeply respects the Hindu tradition and the Sanatana Dharma way of life, Rajeev has had the fortune of growing up in an environment where vedic, shloka, stotra chanting, immersive pujas, family temple tours, and Carnatic music were a part of life! He also went to a school that had weekly homa’s, and teachings from vedic texts as part of the curriculum. This set the stage for an interest in these practices. While various questions and changes in worldview took him away from investing further in the practices in his 20s, the work with Ritambhara helped him get in touch with the wellspring of this wisdom and start to re-invest in the Indic traditions in a manner that is reflective, contemporary, and contextual. One of his current quests is to explore how Vedic Chanting can help deepen connection with the sound and through that with the silence from which it emerges. He feels blessed to be on this journey with his partner, Sangeetha Sriram, the chanting community in Auroville and now in bringing this wisdom to the Shraddhā Yoga community for the a second year.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Shaalini Srinivasan After working in the field of marketing communications for over 12 years Shaalini decided to follow her heart and set up a child photography service that created priceless memories and keepsakes for families. Parallelly, volunteering with ServiceSpace.org, a global not-for-profit for more than a decade and experiencing Vipassana courses led her to focus on inner transformation inspiring her to put love and kindness in the centre of everything she does. In 2016, Shaalini moved to Auroville in an effort to blur the boundaries between inner meditation and outer service and presently, she is working as a full-time facilitator at Deepanam, a middle school. Fortunate to have grown up in a family that embraced multi-faith, she gained a deeper understanding about different wisdom traditions. She has been a student of Hatha Yoga since the age of 12 and completed aTeacher Training Course from the 105-year-old Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, established by Shri Yogendra Ji. She developed a deep interest in Ashtanga Yoga, Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras thanks to this institute. With her mother’s family following the Sama Veda and her father’s family following the Yajur Veda traditionally, she has absorbed the sounds of chants since childhood and is very grateful to be a student of Sangeetha Sriram for the past four years and learn Vedic chanting in the lineage of Krishnamacharya. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita continue to guide her in her daily life and she hopes to absorb the essence of the Gita someday. She also resonates deeply with the teachings of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo and the notion of “surrender” is very alive for her. She is passionate about learning Sanskrit and dedicates her free time to learning some grammar. As a homebody, she prioritizes spending time with her 15-year-old daughter - Simran and feels blessed to be able to grow in consciousness with her partner Deven, who shares similar values and aspirations. In her free time, she loves playing volleyball, baking, reading and listening to music.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ayurvedic-Inspired Yoga is yoga to meet the season we are in. There is a deep connection between the three doshas -vata, pitta, and kapha- that make up every living human and how they relate to the time of year, day, and individual. When you attend an Ayurvedic Inspired Yoga class, you will be learning the connection between the time of year and the type of dosha balancing needed. Dosha, according to Ayurveda, is 'that which goes out of balance'. Vata, tied to the element of air and space, comprises movement in our body, both physical and mental movement, such as thoughts. Pitta, linked to the fire and water element, is tied to our digestive fire, or agni, and is the foundational dosha for our metabolism. Kapha, represented by the water and earth element, is our overall muscle and body traits, as well as our general constitution. Ayurvedic Yoga takes into account these three doshas and seeks to bring them into balance using pranayama/breathing practices, seasonally appropriate asana/postural yoga, and contemplative self-inquiry as a way to heal the mind, body, and spirit.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Āsāna - Sound Healing and Restorative Yoga - Kelvin offers a holistic approach to relaxation, transformation and healing though sound. During a sound healing session, Kelvin plays the crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gong, ocean drum, chimes and other healing instruments (tools) to activate the relaxation response to calm your mind, relax your body, release your suppressed emotions and nourish your soul. The meditative sounds promotes healing from chronic stress, muscle tension, addictive behaviors, sleep disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, stuck emotions, unprocessed trauma, high blood pressure and other stress-related chronic health condition. Corinne accompanies Kelvin and offers a handful of restorative yoga āsānas for you to melt into during the class. They are optional and you are always welcome to just choose one comfortable position to rest in. Talking/cueing will be at the very minimum so if you need extra support for your body, please check in with Corinne before class. You will be encouraged to focus on your breath, release with longer exhales, and receive the nourishment of the vibration of the sound. Please bring your own blanket, or cushions if you have some. We do have some at the studio but we will need extras for this class.</image:title>
